Robi’s partnership with WaterAid Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Railway has resulted in the establishment of ten water plants at some of the busiest railway stations across the country. These water plants, operating under the slogan “Nirapod Pani, Sushtho Jibon” (Safe Water, Healthy Life), are designed to provide safe drinking water to commuters and the general public. Each of these water plants has been strategically located to ensure maximum accessibility and convenience.

Preventing Waterborne Diseases: Access to clean and safe drinking water is crucial for preventing waterborne diseases. Robi’s water plants help reduce the risk of illnesses caused by contaminated water sources, improving the overall health of commuters and passengers.
Promoting Hygiene: The availability of ablution facilities at these water plants encourages good hygiene practices among the public, particularly among those who need to perform ablution before prayer.
Inclusivity: The facilities’ inclusive design ensures that people of all genders and physical abilities can access safe drinking water comfortably and with dignity.
Reducing the Financial Burden: Access to free drinking water at railway stations reduces the financial burden on travelers who may otherwise need to purchase bottled water, particularly during long journeys.
Environmental Impact: By offering free safe drinking water, Robi’s initiative also contributes to the reduction of plastic waste generated from single-use water bottles.placement.
