Valo Kajer Hotel is a social initiative that provides meals for good deeds to the homeless,
helpless, and rootless people in Bangladesh. The initiative was started in 2009 by a group
of volunteers who wanted to help the needy and inspire them to do good deeds for the society. The initiative operates in six locations in Dhaka and Chattogram, where the
volunteers serve food to the hungry people on the footpath, without any charge. The
only condition is that the people have to inform the volunteers of a good deed they have
done that day. The initiative aims to reduce hunger and crime in the country, by
providing food and motivation to the people. The initiative is funded by the donations of
the Daily Ten Members and the well-wishers, who contribute a small amount every month.
The initiative has created a positive impact on the lives of the people and the society.
According to the records of the initiative, it has distributed more than 1 million meals to
the homeless, helpless, street children, and poor people since 2009. The initiative has also
collected a large number of good deeds from the people, such as helping others,
cleaning the environment, planting trees, and donating blood. The initiative has also
witnessed many people changing their lives, finding jobs, starting businesses, and joining
the initiative as volunteers. The initiative has also received recognition and appreciation
from the media, the government, and the public.
