Bangladesh Sustainability Excellence Awards Finalists 2023: How Bata is executing their global sustainable program BCP
Bata Children Program is a global sustainability project of the company. Through executing this Bangladesh, they brought improvement in the Ashraf Textile Mills High school located at Tongi, Gazipur near Bata Bangladesh corporate office.

Bata is implementing this BCP project by supporting the school with new school building, toilets and drinking water area, classroom-furniture, fans, lights, CC camera set up and new school gate. They revamped the playground and built rain water blockage to prevent the school from being flood-prone like before. They set up a new library and science lab for the students and are continually mentoring them to enhance their reading habit and STEM expertise. Under this Bata Children Program they run our employee volunteering program as well. Below are the activities implemented in the school for giving the children a step ahead for a better life.


Education:

• Awareness on menstrual hygiene,
